About JEM General Builders

Meet Jorge Martinez, the founder of JEM General Builders. Jorge moved to the United States in 1987 with a dream of building a brighter future for himself and his mother, who emigrated from El Salvador. Determined to succeed, he studied at San Francisco State University and immersed himself in his career, achieving early success as a carpenter with the San Francisco Local 22 Carpenter Union.

Since 2016, Jorge has focused his expertise on kitchen and bathroom remodels, transforming spaces into dream homes for his clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. His skills as a general contractor extend well beyond interiors, as he also handles everything from foundations to exterior painting .

Jorge currently resides in Oakland, California, with his three wonderful children. His family is his greatest inspiration, with one child proudly serving in the Navy and the others thriving as responsible citizens. Every project at JEM reflects Jorge's dedication and commitment to ensuring client satisfaction.
